New Podcast Interview Drop: Public Health Consultants & Entrepreneurs: Understanding The Landscape, With Leah Roman And Vinu Illakkuvan

Hi friends and followers! I’m excited to share a new podcast interview today that celebrates a passion project that I’ve been working on the past few years. Along with my colleagues Vinu Ilakkuvan, Laura Runnels, and Keʻalohilani Worthington, I led the development, launch, and analysis of a survey to understand the self-employed public health workforce.

All of the findings from this project, “Describing the Self-Employed Public Health Consultant and Entrepreneur Workforce in the United States – Survey Findings and Practice Implications" are open access in our Dropbox folder!

It was a joy talking with our host Sujani and Vinu about:

  • The most surprising and interesting survey findings

  • The importance of transparency when discussing pricing and income for public health consultants and entrepreneurs

  • Ideas for how these data can be used to support aspiring and current consultants/entrepreneurs in an affordable and equitable way (and who we may want to partner with to do it!)

I’d Love To Hear From You:

  • If you check out the podcast episode, please comment below and let me know what you think!

  • I’d love to hear which findings were surprising or interesting to you and how you might use them in your current public health role.
